8-Nitroguanine DNA/RNA Damage ELISA
8-nitroguanine (8-NO2-Gua) is a byproduct of oxidative/nitrosative stress that appears as a modified guanine base in DNA or RNA as a result of damage caused by reactive nitrogen species (RNS).
8-nitroguanine is physiologically formed and propagated by chronic infection and inflammation.
Once formed, 8-nitroguanine has a half-life of about 4 hours after which it is depurinated to release free 8-nitroguanine.
Our Nitrosative DNA/RNA Damage ELISA Kit (8-Nitroguanine Quantitation) provides a powerful method for rapid, sensitive quantitation of 8-NO2-Gua in serum, plasma, or urine samples.
